With 3,500kg towing standard across the range, the Amarok is just as suited to hauling heavy loads as it is hitting the off-road tracks. Whether you're towing the boat or the trailer, the Amarok makes difficult jobs look like child's play.
Braked Towing up to 3,500kg
With 3.5 tonne braked towing capacity and gross combined mass (GCM) of up to 6400kg, the All-New Amarok is up for any kind of adventure. And with an overhead towbar camera to make hitching your trailer easier.
With Trailer mode you can optimise the gearbox operation when towing heavy loads. In this mode, gears will shift up at higher than usual engine speeds to reduce shifting frequency, as well as enabling engine braking in all forward gears.
Register your trailers size in the driver assistance systems and your Amarok will acknowledge its presence behind you. Once registered your blind spot sensors and drive assists are adjusted to allow for the added dimensions at the rear.
Safe inside and out
Awarded a 5 Star ANCAP safety rating, the Amarok has your back.
The new Amarok ute comes with more than 30 assistance systems, over 20 of which are completely new on-board. Discover clever innovations such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist and Adaptative Cruise Control. Plus, you can rely on a full complement of airbags - including a centre airbag, knee airbag and standard curtain airbag - for comprehensive protection in the event of a collision.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Blind spots force drivers to 'nose out' slowly. The Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses radar technology to help look around corners, within the limits of the system. This means the system can detect passing vehicles or pedestrians earlier.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control can help maintain the correct distance from the vehicle in front and start up again after a short standstill in traffic jams or city traffic.
Adaptive Cruise Control
The Area View gives the driver an all-round view of the vehicle, which can be particularly helpful when manoeuvring or parking. Multiple views from the four cameras on all sides of the vehicle can be selected - including a 360° view of the vehicle from above.

Lane Keep Assist
The lane departure warning combines various components and includes drowsiness detection. It can use a multifunction camera to record its own lane and, at speeds above 60 km/h, and correct unintentional lane departures by counter steering. The driver can be warned at the same time by a warning tone and a message in the multifunction display.
Lane Keep Assist
No matter how fast you think your reactions are, sometimes it's easy to miss other road users. Front Assist is an autonomous emergency braking system that supports you at low and high speeds, automatically braking if a collision seems imminent.
